After many attempts and fine-tuning Bio Based Resins, his persistence would pay off as he developed a renewable technology to manufacture Prescription Pharmacy Bottles. These bottles consist of a material that are 99% plant based with its main component being Polylactic Acid (PLA). This patented blend of PLA called InnovPLA, instead of the polypropylene (PP) which is normally found in standard bottles, was a major breakthrough and superior alternative material in reducing the harmful waste associated with conventional plastic. Outside of being an annually renewable feedstock material made from plants, PLA is biodegradable in compost in 3 to 6 months. It is non-toxic in nature and reduces Greenhouse Gases by 42% while using 32% less energy in production, thus dramatically reducing the overall Carbon Footprint compared to plastic.
This pioneering breakthrough by Dr. Shantu Patel, coupled by a passion to solve the problem of plastic’s harmful impact on the environment, was the genesis of what would become Innovative Bottles.Our company is the first to market with a plastic alternative for the prescription pharmacy vial and single use medical device industries in the USA. We continue to develop, applying our patented IP, renewable solutions with high performance levels that leads to zero waste.

As PLA researchers, we have broken new ground with a pioneering technology, and we are now excitedly launching our first commercial line of products. We have focused on the hard problem of plastic pollution by developing completely biodegradable products that are in compost within three to six months comparative to plastic that last up to eight hundred years. Our vials and single use medical devices deteriorate faster than orange peels!
We own a Intellectual Property library that consists of an array of patents and FDA patent pending products that are 100% plant based.
